Just when we thought "It don't get no better'n this..." It got BETTER!

The New Dogs Have Learned Well

We had an incredible hunt this year. On this day, we got 20 pheasants and 7 chukars. The dog work was outstanding, the weather was cool and clear, unbeatable....until the following day. On the following day, there were only four of us and we managed to get 23 pheasants and a chukar. As the bird population increases, we will improve. It will be tough to beat this...but it will be a blast to try. Make no mistake...the new dogs can hunt. Scooby pointed two roosters and was backed by a very experienced dog. Manny located downed birds (a quail and a rooster) that no one could find. Bubba did his usual 'total game' and Sasha learned that just because all hell breaks loose with a flush...it won't hurt her. Awesome! Totally worth the drive for the pheasants, the food, the friends, and the fun! Can't wait till next year!

Vehicles are READY

The USHOPHT 2010 Vehicles are READY.

The TEAM Vehicle has two new Goodyear Radials installed on the rear for maximum mud slinging. The spare tire was replaced with a suitable tire with much less age for additional safety. The interior was steam cleaned and polished to an appropriate shine.

The K-9 VEHICLE has been modified to include a trailer jack for the tongue which now enables one-man operation. The lights have been thoroughly checked in each safety configuration and are working correctly. A receiver lock has been installed on the receiver hitch. A hitch ball lock has been installed and works as required. The bearings for the wheels have been completely replaced, re-packed with the specified bearing grease, and re-installed and are working smoothly. Each K-9 compartment has been checked cleared of cobwebs and APPROVED by the K-9's. Still to come...a Sirius Satellite Radio installation and a "TOM TOM" Global Positioning System for extremely accurate directions and safety. Dog Trailer addition

Here is the new trailer jack. We have needed this since the very first hunt...... It rotates and locks out of the way. Cool.
